A very welcoming group of lovely people who made me feel included right from the start when I began rowing a few months ago.
I am now a regular and part of a new ladies team. Coaching on developing my technique has been superb and I thoroughly recommend rowing to all ages and abilities.
It’s a great team sport and a fun way to keep fit. I love being out on the water.
I tried sea rowing for the first time less than four years ago, and am completely hooked. I’m also much fitter and stronger than I’ve been for most of my adult life!
Everyone at the club is so friendly and welcoming, without being pushy at all…and so learning about rowing isn’t intimidating at all. You can get as involved as you like… just turn up on club nights, and maybe head to the pub to quench the thirst afterwards… or do a bit more training and join a crew that wants to race a bit. I’ve met some lovely people since starting rowing, who I now count among my friends. My only regret is that I didn’t try it forty years ago!
I have been a long standing member of Solva Rowing Club. I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and ethos of the club, we are a friendly lot.
I love rowing and taking part in the various events organised by the club every year. Rowing is a great way to de-stress and unwind after a hard day at the office.
I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone, come down on a club night and have a go!
